B. Anthony Burroughs is a serial entrepreneur who has learned that there is more to life than just day to day business. Anthony is a proven entrepreneur and operator with several successful full cycle growth experiences from founding day to exit of his businesses. Mr. Burroughs also has served as the CMO for several high-growth businesses. Mr. Burroughs’ experiences in growth capital situations are immense. From leadership to strategic planning to operations to culture to sales and marketing; Mr. Burroughs brings these strong capabilities to the table.
Prior to Helios, Anthony was the Founder and Principal of JPG, a premium marketing agency for high-growth businesses serving the strategic marketing and CMO roles for venture-backed startups to $200M software firms. He exited from this business in March 2006 and then took on the challenge of stepping in on the executive team and Board of Directors for several high growth businesses to get them to the next level. He is only focused on working with people who are truly interested in making their businesses a shining example of what a business and business leader should be.
Anthony also was the founding member as well as VP Finance and President for AD&P - a $22.6 million services firm with 108 employees and 4 locations before selling it to a $7.35 billion NYSE public company. He has been the founder of a few other business ventures; including one sustainable real estate fund called the Onus Group and one hedge fund called TWS Equity Group.
Mr. Burroughs currently is a Director of South America For Less, Compare Apple, The Hype Life, and Vasana Media Holdings. Mr. Burroughs has a BA in Political Science and Communications with a Business emphasis from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX. He also has been a member of the Southwestern University Board of Trustees, sharing fiduciary responsibility for an endowment that ranked 5th in rate of return in the U.S. Anthony has been active with Big Brothers, Big Sisters and the American Cancer Society in the past, and is currently exploring how – and through what vehicles – he will give himself to the community over the next couple of years.
