Luke Sweetser
Senior Managing Director

With more than 12 years experience as a private equity investor, Luke Sweetser brings expertise to all aspects of the investment process; including deal origination, valuation, due diligence analysis, negotiating and structuring transactions, and monitoring and exiting investments.

Prior to Helios, Luke Sweetser served as a Managing Director at LH Equity and a Partner of the North Texas Opportunity Fund where he jointly developed and executed the partnerships investment strategies. Besides originating and structuring private equity investments, Mr. Sweetser focused on the oversight and leadership of the Partnerships' portfolio companies. In this role, he concentrated on the areas of business growth, operations analysis and improvement, acquisition integration, and major transformation and strategic planning programs.

Mr. Sweetser has a solid track record of executing complex operational and financial turnarounds and has served as the chief executive officer or chief restructuring officer for several of the predecessor funds' portfolio companies. His investment track record primarily involves middle-market companies and all types of transactions;including buyout, growth, recapitalizations, and later-stage venture capital investments.

Mr. Sweetser currently serves as Chairman of PrimeSource FoodService Company and Envision Gaming Technologies, Inc. and Director of InStaff Personnel, Inc. He served as Chief Investment Officer and Director of City of Dallas Housing Finance Corporation from 1995-2001. Mr. Sweetser received his BA from Harvard University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
